The Journal reports on a collaborative Art for Impact mural project presented at the Martinsburg Police Department. This initiative, spearheaded by the Boys & Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle and the National Art Honor Society from Spring Mills High School, engaged local students from Hedgesville High School and the Martinsburg area. The mural, 'Mountain State Dreamworks,' symbolizes West Virginia's heritage and community peace, featuring contributions from around 26 students. Mayor Kevin Knowles proclaimed May 7 as Art for Impact Day, emphasizing the importance of youth leadership and community connections. Designed to honor local police officers, the mural will be displayed in the police department for all to admire.
