Residents from Charles Town gathered at Edge Hill Cemetery to honor fallen servicemen during a Memorial Day ceremony hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3522. The event featured a welcoming speech by George Goletz, music from the Charles Town Middle School band, and statements from veteran Howard Stone, who emphasized the importance of remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. The ceremony concluded with the laying of memorial wreaths by various veterans' organizations and a performance of 'Taps' by JROTC cadets, followed by a light lunch at the VFW Post Home.
