The Spirit of Jefferson reports on the proposed Mountain Pure water bottling plant by Sidewinder Enterprises, LLC, planned for the old 3M factory site near Middleway. Local officials, including county commissioners and state delegates, have shared their insights ahead of a public workshop at Washington High School on March 11. The project could feature nearly 1 million square feet of facilities, pumping 1.44 million gallons of groundwater daily from a well near Lake Louise through an underground pipeline. Approval of the concept plan is the first step, followed by a detailed site plan before construction can begin.
