This 1 million-square-foot plant, intended to be built on a former brownfield site adjacent to the historic village, has raised concerns among local preservation advocates regarding potential impacts on the area's historic integrity. The project is currently under review by the Planning Commission, affecting local heritage tied to landmarks and community identity.
