Residents of Middleway are rallying against the proposed Mountain Pure Water Bottling Plant, expressing concerns over environmental impacts and preserving their historic village. During an advocacy gathering on January 31 at Grace Episcopal Church, community members showcased local history and used music as a form of protest against the industrial project. With support from groups like the Preservation Alliance of West Virginia, the community is pushing for the protection of their water resources and heritage as the Jefferson County Planning Commission prepares to review revised plans for the facility on February 11.
