The Shepherdstown Chronicle reports on a vibrant new mural at Morgan’s Grove Park, created by four Shepherd University alumni—Sikara Sokel, Kalin Gregg, Charlotte Puttock, and Prema Baughman. Commissioned by the Shepherdstown Community Club, the mural, inspired by storybooks and featuring native Appalachian animals, aims to brighten the park while enhancing the play experience for local children. It includes scenes crafted from childhood literature, aiming to foster a love for art and reading in the community. Funded by a grant from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts, this project adds a colorful narrative touch to the park's landscape.
