Shepherdstown Business Creates Mother's Day Gifts for Moms in Need
Local business puts together Mother’s Day bags for moms in need

In Shepherdstown, Michelle Kwiatkowski, owner of Wild Rose Soap Co., has been assembling Mother's Day bags for moms in need for eight years, with help from local volunteers and homeschool students. This year, about 60 bags were prepared, filled with items such as chocolates and toiletries, to support teen mothers from Young Lives Martinsburg and two homeless shelters in the area. The effort, which also extends to Veterans Day, aims to teach the value of community service to the children involved while providing a bit of joy to those facing hardships on special occasions.
