Last Friday, the Jefferson County Foundation hosted a public forum at Grace Episcopal Church in Middleway to discuss the proposed Mountain Pure water bottling facility. Community members gathered to learn about the facility, ask questions, and discuss its implications for local zoning and environmental concerns. Foundation president Christine Wimer voiced the organization’s opposition to the project, citing zoning issues, but acknowledged support for the agreement between the Charles Town Utility Board and Sidewinder Enterprises to manage the facility’s operations.
