Recently, Ellen Murphy, chair of the Friends of NCTC, led a public tour showcasing the museum's exhibits, which include stories of undercover operations against poaching linked to Al Capone and the first federal bird warden, Paul Kroegel. Attendees, including local residents like Master Naturalist Marybeth Grove, expressed excitement about the center's commitment to conservation and its role as a learning hub for the community. Tours occasionally offered to the public provide insights into the organization's significant impact on wildlife preservation in the area.
