A vibrant new mural has been unveiled at Morgan’s Grove Park, painted by four Shepherd University alumni—Kalin Gregg, Charlotte Puttock, Prema Baughman, and Sikara Sokel. Commissioned by the Shepherdstown Community Club, the mural features whimsical scenes inspired by children's literature and local Appalachian wildlife, aiming to engage both children at the nearby playground and the community. The project emphasizes the importance of art and literature, echoing themes from beloved authors like Beatrix Potter. Funded through a grant from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts, this mural beautifies the park and enriches the experience for visitors from Shepherdstown, Harpers Ferry, and beyond.
