NextEra Energy Moves Forward with MARL Line Plans Impacting Local Areas

NextEra Energy files MARL line letter of intent

NextEra Energy has submitted a Letter of Intent to build its section of the MARL transmission lines, which will pass through areas including Monongalia, Preston, Mineral, and Hampshire counties. This project aims to enhance power supply to data centers in Northern Virginia, and follows a similar filing by Potomac Edison for its part of the line. The development, significant for regional infrastructure, will impact nearby communities including Charles Town and Harpers Ferry.
