Overnight Road Work for Wednesday in The Eastern Panhandle

The Panhandle News Network reports that overnight road work will impact travel in the Eastern Panhandle, specifically affecting routes through Jefferson County. Starting at 7 p.m. on October 1, the right lane on US 340 northbound will close for pavement repairs between Halltown Road and the WV 230 traffic signal. Similarly, southbound I-81 will see lane closures overnight between mile markers 6 and 2 for asphalt repairs, also commencing at 7 p.m. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and exercise caution in these work zones to minimize disruptions, particularly around local landmarks such as Harpers Ferry and Charles Town, as work is scheduled to end by 6 a.m. on October 2.
