LoudounNow.com reports on the planning efforts for the final link of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail in Loudoun County. During a meeting at the Ida Lee Recreation Center, groups discussed updates on the ongoing feasibility study by Lardner/Klein landscape architects, which seeks to close gaps in the trail's 900-mile route. The study highlighted two primary route options—the Blue Route along low-volume gravel roads near the river, and alternative inland options—while addressing concerns such as landowner agreements, traffic volumes, and topographical challenges. Completion of the study is expected by December 2024, with NVRC inviting community feedback through November 11.
