Power Couples create a sense of community in Charles Town

In a celebration of Valentine's Day, downtown Charles Town is fostering community through the Power Couples initiative, pairing local businesses to enhance collaboration and engagement. Launched in 2020 by Liz Cook, economic development coordinator, the program promotes mutual support among businesses, encouraging creative partnerships that benefit the local economy and strengthen community bonds. This year’s pairings feature various local establishments, including Bushel & Peck and Ortega’s, which are collaborating on special events. Cook emphasizes the importance of local unity in thriving as a community, showcasing how businesses can attract engagement and foster a vibrant atmosphere for residents.
