In a complaint filed in December at the Jefferson County Circuit Court, Angela Snyder, a former administrative assistant and court clerk for Ranson’s Police Department, alleges sexual harassment and wrongful termination by Police Chief Robbie Roberts. Snyder worked for the department from 2011 until her termination in August 2023, claiming that Roberts exhibited gender-based discrimination and created a hostile work environment. Despite her complaints to city council and human resources, she felt threatened to remain silent. Her termination occurred shortly after she emailed Roberts regarding unpaid work hours, leading her to seek compensatory damages and legal redress with representation from Charleston attorneys Michael P. Addair and Kurt E. Entsminger.
