Ranson Schools Operate on Delay Amid Winter Storm Warnings
Tri-State delays, cancellations for Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 5-6, 2025, due to weather

Due to inclement weather, schools and organizations across the Tri-State area announced delays and cancellations for February 5 and 6, 2025. In Ranson, Jefferson County Public Schools and its offices will operate on a two-hour delay, while Shepherd University in nearby Shepherdstown will remain closed until 11 a.m. on Thursday. Other local educational institutions, including St. Joseph School in Martinsburg and Berkeley and Morgan County Schools, will also follow delayed schedules. Local transit services will implement modified schedules to prioritize safety during the winter storm, as reported by Herald-Mail Media.
