The Relay for Life event at Shepherd University's Suzanne Shipley Wellness Center transformed this year, shifting to a noon-to-midnight schedule to accommodate more participants. Under the theme 'Going for Gold Against Cancer,' the event featured themed laps, team challenges, and performances, raising over $82,000 towards the $80,000 goal for 2025. The Board of Hope team led fundraising efforts, with Linda Myers-Hart emerging as the top fundraiser. Funds will continue to be collected until the end of July, promising to exceed the original target. This year’s event highlights the community's dedication to fighting cancer in the local area.
