The Shepherdstown Chronicle reports that Jason Strunk, formerly from Georgetown Day School, has relocated his professional choir, Renatum Chamber Choir, to Shepherdstown, bringing choral theater to the area. Their inaugural concert, 'Rejoice! Music For the Season,' will be held on December 13 at Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church. Emphasizing a sense of community and cultural enrichment, Strunk aims to showcase local talent, with many choir members deeply connected to the Appalachian region. This initiative intends to challenge the perception of rural areas lacking artistic outlets, as the choir features members from various locations committed to participating in performances, including the upcoming one centered on themes of hope and newness associated with Christmas.
