Spring Brings Road Repairs, Tree Canopy Cutting to Area Roads

The Panhandle News Network reports that road crews in the region are set to embark on significant maintenance work now that asphalt plants have resumed operations. In particular, residents of Charles Town and surrounding areas should anticipate tree canopy cutting on Swinging Bridge Road and paving activities on Flowing Springs Road, with operations scheduled to run from late March into April 2025. Additionally, a lane closure on Interstate 81 is planned for a safety inspection of the USAF SSgt. Logan A. Young Memorial Bridge. Motorists are urged to expect delays and to consider alternate routes as weather conditions may influence schedules.
