Local Rotary Clubs Bring Books to Ranson and Charles Town Schools
Volunteers from the Shepherdstown and Charles Town Rotary clubs engaged first graders at four local elementary schools, reading the classic 'Gingerbread Man' story during the week of December 16. This reading initiative, launched in 2023, aims to foster a love for reading by providing students with their own copies of the books read. Schools involved included North Jefferson Elementary, TA Lowery Elementary, Blue Ridge Elementary, and Ranson Elementary, where children not only enjoyed the stories but also gained personal books to keep and share at home, supported fully by the Rotary clubs.
