On April 22, Dan and Virginia Rowzie were honored with the Distinguished Citizen award at a dinner held at the Bavarian Inn, recognizing their extensive community involvement since moving to Charles Town in 1994. The event, organized by the Shenandoah Area Scout Council, highlighted the impact of Scouting in the region, with remarks from community members such as Matt Ward and Eagle Scout Conner Kneeland. The Rowzies' daughters shared heartfelt tributes celebrating their parents' dedication to volunteerism, literacy, and community spirit, making significant contributions through various local organizations such as the Charles Town Rotary and garden clubs.
