Weather-Related School Closures Impacting Local Education

Tri-State delays, cancellations for Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, due to weather

On February 12, 2025, inclement weather has led to several disruptions in local education. Washington County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay while Berkeley County Schools will conduct remote learning for PreK-12 students. In addition, schools in Ranson and nearby areas will observe closures due to hazardous road conditions, implementing nontraditional instructional days. Blue Ridge Community and Technical College will move to remote-only activities, and essential operations will continue under specific reporting codes. The Herald-Mail Media reports that these measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of students and staff amidst ongoing winter weather advisories.
