The Shepherdstown Chronicle highlights the Social Seniors Leisure Lounge at the Shepherdstown Public Library, a vibrant volunteer-driven initiative that meets every Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to noon. This program, designed to foster social engagement among older adults in the community, serves as a welcoming space for those living alone or with dementia, promoting interaction through coffee, snacks, and various activities. As the program expands, the need for more volunteers to host and facilitate gatherings grows, providing residents from Shepherdstown and nearby towns the chance to connect and share experiences in a nurturing environment.
