A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Washington, Frederick, and Jefferson counties until 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, according to Herald-Mail Media. The storm is expected to bring damaging winds up to 60 mph, potential hail less than 0.75 inches in diameter, and heavy rain. Residents, especially in towns like Harpers Ferry and Charles Town, are advised to take cover in interior rooms on the lowest floors of their homes as the storm moves eastward at 25 mph.
