Shepherd University, located near historic sites like Harpers Ferry, has achieved a significant milestone with a full seven-year reaccreditation of its biochemistry program by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB). This accreditation not only affirms the quality of the curriculum and faculty but also allows students to take the ASBMB exam in 2025, enhancing their career prospects. As one of two institutions in West Virginia accredited by ASBMB, Shepherd continues to foster excellence in science education, a point emphasized by Dr. Bob Warburton, the program’s director.
