During Homecoming week from October 20-25, Shepherd University recognized the achievements of its alumni with multiple honors, including the inaugural Pillar of Shepherd Award given to Ray Alvarez for his significant contributions to the university and community. Additionally, Eric and Joy Lewis, residents of Shepherdstown, were named the 2025 Outstanding Alumni of the Year for their extensive involvement and support of university initiatives. The event also celebrated young achievers with the Finest Under 40 awards, showcasing the impactful efforts of alumni in various fields.
