Capstone projects highlight personal struggles with health, self perception

In April, Shepherd University's senior art students showcased their capstone projects across Shepherdstown, highlighting personal health and self-perception struggles. Notable exhibits included 'Persona: Art of Perception', featuring collaborative pieces by Collin Harper and Shelby Fernatt, exploring themes of identity and physical and mental health. Another show, 'Parallels of Sentience', presented works from Kim Workman, Benjamin Blake, and Elliana Blevins, each revealing different facets of the human experience. These exhibitions not only showcased the students' artistic talents but also engaged the community in meaningful conversations about self-identity, held in the local War Memorial Building, a significant venue for such cultural discussions.
