Athletes from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown will participate in an international study on photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy aiming to heal concussions. Coordinated by Ann Liebert of Sydney Adventist Hospital, the research seeks to provide effective treatment alternatives to traditional rest methods for concussed individuals. Local residents gathered recently at the Suzanne Shipley Wellness Center to learn more about PBM and its promising effects on various health conditions, including sleep disorders. The study emphasizes collaboration with local athletes and highlights Shepherd University’s role in advancing this new therapeutic approach.
