Shepherd University celebrated its 152nd Commencement Ceremony, where nearly 400 students from the local area received their degrees. Among the speakers, Student Government Association President Paul Teter emphasized resilience through challenges like COVID-19, while Senior Class President Eli Hall encouraged classmates to value their educational journeys and express gratitude to mentors. The event featured remarks from Hoppy Kercheval, who received an honorary degree, and highlighted a generous gift from the class of 2025 for a weather shelter on West Campus, benefiting future students from nearby towns such as Charles Town and Ranson.
