Shepherd University, Stubblefield Institute continue Year of Civility with Common Reading event

In a continuation of their Year of Civility initiative, Shepherd University, located in Shepherdstown, hosted an engaging discussion titled 'Democracy Awakening: In the Classroom and Beyond.' This event revolved around the 2024-2025 Common Reading selection, 'Democracy Awakening: Notes on the State of America' by Heather Cox Richardson. Attendees benefited from the insights of a knowledgeable panel comprising Dr. Sally Brasher, Dr. Heidi Hanrahan, and Dr. Stephanie Slocum-Schaffer, who are all esteemed faculty members dedicated to promoting civil discourse in the community.
