Shepherd University Graduate Eli Hall Receives Historic Fulbright Award

Eli Hall, a recent graduate from Shepherd University, has made history as the first student from the institution to receive a Fulbright scholarship. Selected from a competitive pool of around 4,000 applicants, Hall will pursue a master's in social sciences, technology, environment, and societal change at LUT University in Finland. The native of Hansford, known for his dedication to social causes and leadership roles within organizations such as Conservation West Virginia and the Civility Club, has also been recognized as a Udall Scholar and a Truman Scholarship finalist. His achievements have drawn praise from university officials, who commend him for exemplifying academic excellence and character as he embarks on this prestigious journey.
