Shepherd University Launches Farming Incubator Program in Charles Town

Shepherd University has launched a new Agricultural Small Business Incubator program to support aspiring farmers in the Eastern Panhandle. Set to accept applicants for the 2026 growing season, the program will provide mentorship, land, access to equipment, and assistance with business aspects such as marketing and irrigation. With its focus on fostering new agricultural initiatives, this program aims to invigorate the local farming community, especially in areas like Charles Town and Ranson.
