The Pack Horse Ford Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is set to honor the historic Bee Line March with two events in Shepherdstown on June 7 and June 14. The first event includes a marker dedication at Morgan’s Grove Park, commemorating the significant journey of 98 riflemen who traveled 600 miles to aid George Washington. The following week, a wreath-laying ceremony at Elmwood Cemetery will pay tribute to these men with the monument recently cleaned by Roth Cemetery Services. These events highlight the local community’s dedication to preserving its Revolutionary War history, inviting public participation and promoting the DAR’s mission to honor American heritage.
