American Conservation Film Festival sees continued growth in 23rd year

The 23rd annual American Conservation Film Festival (ACFF) recently took place at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, showcasing a record attendance driven by a heightened interest in conservation, the inclusion of a virtual reality experience, and an emphasis on short films. Festival director Hilary Lo noted that the festival featured 28 films, with prominent contributors like 'Game of Thrones' star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and filmmakers engaging audiences throughout the event. Local filmmakers, such as Kyle Pienaar and Aaron Lemle, highlighted unique conservation stories, illustrating the community's commitment to environmental awareness and education.
