The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown recently unveiled the new 'Almost Heaven' swing at James Rumsey Monument Park, in a ceremony attended by local dignitaries, community members, and swing enthusiasts. Rotary President Dale Homan emphasized the swing's potential to attract tourists and enhance the park's significance. The idea for the swing was inspired by Karrington Childress, a former Miss West Virginia, who encouraged the club to pursue this project to enrich local tourism.
