Nature enthusiasts in Shepherdstown and beyond are rejoicing as all three bald eagle eggs at the National Conservation Training Center have hatched. The eaglets' arrival, celebrated by birdwatchers and locals, was broadcast live via the NCTC Eaglecam. Hatchings commenced on March 20, culminating with the final chick hatching on March 24, aligning with the typical 35-day incubation period. This event not only showcases the success of local wildlife but also highlights the NCTC’s role in conservation efforts in the area.
