The Bee Line March 250th celebration concluded with a vibrant event at Morgan’s Grove Park and downtown Shepherdstown, honoring the historical feat of local riflemen who marched to aid George Washington during the Revolutionary War. Attendees enjoyed reenactments, military drills, 18th-century games, and performances by the Old Line Fife and Drum Corps, alongside informative talks on colonial life. Donna Bertazzoni, co-chair of the event, noted the strong community participation and the event's distinct focus on soldier experiences, distinguishing it from previous anniversary events. With participation from skilled reenactors and historians, the day underscored a commitment to historical accuracy and shared local heritage.
