The annual breakfast hosted by The Jefferson County Black Clergy Association at Asbury Methodist Church in Shepherdstown honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and raised funds for the Paige Jackson Scholarship Fund, which supports local students. Despite a recent snowstorm that delayed the event, many attended to engage with youth speakers and celebrate King's legacy. Natasha Bradford Johnson, Imani Velez, and Marques Corbin emphasized themes of freedom, justice, and civic engagement, inspiring attendees to remain active in their communities and political processes, highlighting the importance of continuous involvement beyond election seasons.
