Shepherdstown and Charles Town Host Exciting Summer Events
The Journal reports that Shepherd University in Shepherdstown is hosting free Healthcare Career Exploration Summer Workshops for high school students this summer. These hands-on workshops, part of a growing initiative to spark interest in health-related careers, will feature diverse activities, such as exploring anatomy and participating in a cardiac arrest simulation. Additionally, Potomac Valley Audubon Society is holding a volunteer orientation open house in Charles Town to engage community members in volunteer opportunities. Lastly, a dedication ceremony honoring Coach Glenn Edwards will take place at Jefferson Memorial Park on July 12, celebrating his contributions to local sports and the community.
