Shepherdstown Teams Up with Churches for Flood Aid Mission

Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston providing funding and people power for “Relief Convoy” for flood victims in West Virginia

In a compassionate response to devastating floods, Community Markets Inc. in Shepherdstown, alongside St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town and other local organizations, is organizing a ‘Relief Convoy’ to provide essential supplies to affected areas in Ohio and Marion counties. The Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston is actively contributing funding and volunteer support for this initiative, which includes the delivery of food, cleaning supplies, and recovery tools. Local volunteers will assist in the distribution of items at the Catholic Neighborhood Center in Wheeling, a hub for ongoing support and recovery initiatives, emphasizing the strength and unity of the community during this challenging time, as highlighted by WTRF.
