On Saturday morning, the General Adam Stephen Chapter of The Sons of the American Revolution led a march commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Bee Line March of 1775, a significant event in American military history, along Kearneysville Pike between Shepherdstown and Morgan’s Grove Park. This lively event, which included soldiers dressed in tricorn hats and a fife and drum band, was recognized by Peter Smith of the Shepherdstown Rotary Club as the most important Revolutionary War commemoration in the area, drawing attention to the region’s historical significance in the founding of the U.S. military.
