Shepherdstown Kicks Off 'We the People' Constitution Day Parade

On September 20, Shepherdstown will host its inaugural Constitution Day parade, dubbed the 'We the People' parade, at 10 a.m. on German Street, culminating in a community celebration at Town Hall. This festive occasion aligns with the 20th Constitution Day Lecture by Shepherd University’s Robert C. Byrd Center for Congressional History and Education, commemorating the signing of the Constitution. The legacy of the late Senator Byrd, who established Constitution Day in 2005, will be honored as this year’s lecture takes place on September 17, reflecting the town's commitment to civic engagement and historical awareness.
