On April 10, Shepherd University Dining Services collaborated with the Shepherdstown Shares Food Pantry to host the Cookout at the Pantry, celebrating Aramark Building Community Day. Held at the Trinity Episcopal Church parish hall, this community dinner gathered residents from Shepherdstown and surrounding areas to enjoy hotdogs, pasta salad, and desserts, fostering connections among food pantry clients and attendees. Food Service Director Katy Mong-Waldeck's commitment to the local community and the initiative's success was echoed by Aramark's Paul Mack and shepherded by board member John Meeker, who aimed to increase awareness and participation in local outreach efforts.
