Shepherdstown DAR Hosts Annual Picnic, Welcomes New Officers
The Pack Horse Ford Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) held its annual picnic at Trinity Episcopal Church in Shepherdstown on May 4. The event featured the swearing-in of new chapter officers, including Susan Benson as Chapter Regent, and recognized five community members who will receive The Hannah White Arnett Medal for their contributions to DAR. The picnic concluded with everyone singing “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” Those interested in joining the organization can contact Regent Cindy Nicewarner for more information, as the DAR promotes historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
