In Shepherdstown, Steve and Betty Shepherd launched the area's first Little Free Dog Library, inspired by a community service opportunity from Springfield resident Don Hillmer. The library, which offers dog toys, costumes, treats, and waste bags, aims to support both canines and dog owners while raising funds for Hillmer's church. Located outside Shepherds Blessings, the initiative has already garnered positive feedback from locals and aligns with the Shepherd family's passion for dogs, enriching the community's array of Little Free Libraries and similar initiatives.
