Shepherdstown Celebrates First Gay Pride Parade
Shepherdstown has never had its own Pride Parade. So they kicked off this year's Pride Month with a celebration of firsts.

Shepherdstown kicked off Pride Month with its inaugural Gay Pride Parade, a historic event approved by the town council last October. This celebration, themed 'Historic Firsts,' was organized by local performer and activist Joan Moossy. The parade featured a procession of bikers carrying community flags and honored Rosemary Ketchum, the first transgender city council member in West Virginia, as grand marshal.
