On February 6th, Shepherdstown Shares Food Pantry welcomed Janelle Hoover as its new director, succeeding Cari Simon. Having actively volunteered at the pantry for eight months, Hoover expressed her excitement about continuing the mission to provide food and hygiene resources to those in need within the 25443 area. With deep roots in Shepherdstown—having attended Shepherd University and previously worked for its catering services—Hoover aims to build upon Simon's legacy, hoping to expand the outreach of the pantry and strengthen community support for families facing hardships.
