'Color Our World': Shepherdstown Public Library celebrates start of Summer Reading Program

The Shepherdstown Public Library kicked off its annual Summer Reading Program with a vibrant celebration centered around the theme 'Color Our World.' Children's activities, including crafts and workshops, aim to boost literacy and engagement among local families. Organized by Youth Services Librarian Jessie Ward and Youth Services Director Rachel Heller, the program not only seeks to retain children's academic skills over the summer but also provides fun opportunities, such as raffle prizes for young readers. Families and children from Shepherdstown and nearby towns like Harpers Ferry can participate by visiting the library, emphasizing the importance of community learning and creativity.
