Throughout October, Shepherdstown Public Library will host a Halloween Costume Swap Stop, inspired by Adult Services Librarian Addison Reese’s experiences finding affordable costumes for her children. The initiative encourages the community to donate gently used costumes, promoting sustainability and shared resources. Reese and Youth Services Librarian Jessie Ward brought this idea to life after previous clothing swaps at the library fostered community engagement. Costumes will be accepted during library hours, offering a fun, eco-friendly alternative for local families preparing for Halloween.
