The Shepherdstown Public Library recently hosted a digital literacy class aimed at empowering local residents, especially seniors, to protect themselves online. Led by library director Christy Hagerty and Adult Services librarian Addison Reese, the free session covered important topics such as online safety, recognizing fraud, secure passwords, and evaluating information credibility. The class encouraged community members from Shepherdstown and surrounding areas to engage more confidently with technology, while allowing them to express their future learning needs. The initiative highlights the library's commitment to fostering digital awareness and literacy in the region.
